Welcome!

Meet Mumma Koala, my latest creation to give tribute to the frontline heroes in Australia and around the world!

I shared the photo to some of the crochet groups that I am a member of and received a number of requests for the pattern. The mum koala is actually a modified version of the koala from the book “Sweet Crochet Friends” which I got last year on my birthday. The rest are my own creations, patterns are listed below:

Green Baby Aliens, inspired by “The Child” also known as Baby Yoda.

About

Thank you for visiting…

I am a mother of two, works as an IT Project Manager.

I established this website so I can share my love for arts and crafts, photography, painting, Amigurumi and other crochet projects and knitting.

I mainly create the crochet toys for my two kids and to add to my own collection. I find happiness and peace making them.

My interest in crochet started when I came across the call out for the 62,000 poppies for the centenary of the First World War. I learnt how to crochet the red poppies and managed to contribute a handful.

In early 2020, I had the opportunity to use my crochet skills to support the wildlife rescue fundraisers that are helping the Australian wildlife affected by the bushfires.

I pledged to make some crochet toy kangaroos and koalas to be sold by a wildlife sanctuary.

Through social media and friends, the kangaroos and koalas that I made got exchanged for donations made directly to the fundraiser very quickly that I did not have to post the toys to the sanctuary for them to sell. This inspired me to continue making toys and use my skills to support more fundraisers in the future.

Through this site, I am hoping to connect with other working mums who have the same interests.

Thank you for reading 🙂
